Show Bros is an approximately 30-minute podcast wherein two bros (Jeff and Matt) watch shows together, with around 15 minutes of casual banter and 15 minutes of in-depth film analysis. Come and join us as we stumble our way through some iconic/interesting/fun shows.
About the Show
Sometimes the best way to enjoy something is with friends (e.g. Hiking, Nachos, Super Smash Brothers, Ping Pong). TV Shows are no exception, but sometimes getting a friend to commit to watching a show with you can be a challenge. Worry not new pal Jeff, and Matt are here to watch some shows with you.
The format works like this: at the beginning of each season of Show Bros, either Jeff or Matt will pick a show that they are familiar with, but that the other bro hasn't seen. This way there is one 'expert' and one person who is coming to the show with fresh eyes. For the whole season, they will pick their way through the show an episode at a time until they either finish it, or until someone decides they simply can't go on with the show and picks something new instead.
We'll always start with 10-15 minutes of casual bantering about the show, the same thing you might do if you were watching the show with a big group of friends or chatting about it around the water cooler. In the back half of the episode we'll flex our film school degrees and dig in a bit to see what's going on cinematically with the episode.
